The modern version of the project is available under permissive open source licensing. The legacy revision forked by Copperhead used non-commercial usage licensing. Their proprietary fork is in violation of that licensing and people using it commercially are violating it too.

The project that isn't Copperhead is CopperheadOS and is not GrapheneOS and anyone using GrapheneOS is in violation. Did I get that right?

I can't thanks to the support you folks are giving to someone that's putting all their resources and time into causing harm to us and wiping out the project. The support they're being given by your community is immensely valuable to them in further harming us.

If you don't want the open source project to continue existing and you would prefer to only have a proprietary fork of a small subset of the legacy code, from a company not doing any new privacy/security work, keep doing what you're doing because you're helping them achieve that.

What are these problems? It looks to me that some people like this software, big deal. I used #grapheneos up until recently too.

Support for a scammer taking my code, fraudulently claiming ownership of it, and using all of the resources he has available to destroy GrapheneOS and screw me over even more than he already has. There are consequences to people helping him. It impacts on GrapheneOS / myself.

It's not his software. It's an unauthorized proprietary (i.e. not open source) fork of my work against the terms of the license. It isn't just about that but that he has filed a fraudulent trademark claim over my work and a bogus lawsuit with the aim of killing the project.
He's not content to just rip off my work and falsely claim ownership over it. He's working every day to wipe out the open source project. Hope you're happy with your role as a pawn helping him to accomplish that goal. Really sad how easily people in your community were tricked.
