I'm genuinely quite upset about people claiming to support me while enabling the narcissistic sociopath who screwed me over to continue abusing me by lending him the credibility he so desperately needs, similar to his false claims about partnerships that he puts on their site.

Learning how to accept that one has no control over what others think and say is a valuable lesson in life.
Heck, I even forgot that lesson at some point and it did a real number on me.

I have control over who follows me and if I wanted I could have control over who uses my future work. Maybe I won't continue working on open source projects in the future when the community of users around it is so unsupportive of me even when I desperately need their help.

I don't think Trezor supports that and it's the only way I want to handle Bitcoin. I don't really see how it's relevant to these discussions. Finances aren't close to the top thing on my mind right now. There are more pressing issues like the escalating attacks from Copperhead.

Tell me how to set up PayNym or something else with Trezor rather than a static address and I'll do it. Keep in mind that someone can make small donations ending up in the same pool of money. I'm not really sure how avoiding the static address can be a viable approach to privacy.

I use the passphrase feature. What I like about the current way of doing donations is that there are no moving parts. I don't need to maintain another service or worry about it being compromised. Doing it this way gives me peace of mind about the donations being safe and secure.

I don't need to worry about a service giving out addresses that I don't own because it was compromised, just the web server. I don't have much faith in software and like keeping things simple. I'm aware of the downsides of the static address but there are benefits to it too.

They’re not addresses you don’t own. Up to you to try out. Not gonna force it on you obviously but I think it’ll encourage donations.

I'm saying that there's the potential for an additional service could be compromised by an attacker and then they could then serve their own addresses from it without me noticing. Not having moving parts beyond the web server is useful and I didn't like the look of BTCPay at all.
Doesn’t work like that. The two derivation paths for any two paired PayNyms are based on the shared secrets discovered by confronting the public key of one with the private key of the other.
