We don't regularly check the

account for notifications. If you have questions you should ask on #grapheneos via Matrix or IRC: grapheneos.org/contact#commun GrapheneOS doesn't do anything that's incompatible with push notifications. Signal works perfectly as an example.

Well depends on your needs... No Problems with Push from Signal and a couple of apps from F-Droid, Threema on the other hand "works" as in sometimes you get a notification in time, sometimes later. Good enough for me, less push notifications == more tranquility
