Hi chief. Great work.
I just wonder how often new handsets are assessed? I know some arent entirely suitable but I'm struggling to find a new 3XL. If you (or the team) were planning on assessing others then I could wait.

The newest supported devices are the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL.

We would have liked to add the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL by now, but we need help just to develop / maintain support for the existing devices and we can't add more devices right now.

Would have liked to be in a much better situation by now using custom variants of SoC reference devices. Unfortunately, there was an attempt to destroy the project which is still ongoing and it wiped out years of progress. Pixels are the best available option short of doing that.

It'd be really hard to produce something on the same level even starting from the relative sanity of SoC reference designs. It would probably take a few years of doing it to end up with something worthwhile. Going to need to figure out new partnerships, etc. to make it happen.
Pixel 4a will be a good candidate for support in the meantime. It might take months after it launches before AOSP support is merged into the same branch which right now would be a requirement. Also takes a lot of work to bring up support and maintain it for new devices.

Great. Thank you for the comprehensive replies.
I cant help development wise unfortunately.
What other ways are there to help? Spread the word? Github sponsorship?
