Hey,

, can you point me to the factory images? The docs (copperhead.co/android/docs/i) say they're on the release page, but they're not (anymore?). I tried generate-factory-images-package.sh but it wants some common/clear-factory-images-variables.sh script that isn't included.

Also, why are there entire repos with just a single word in them? Like github.com/CopperheadOS/c

? That was one of the original questions at hand (the other being why you have entire repos with a single word in them).

By the way "code written in a company belongs to the company" is the usual kind of lie from James Donaldson. The code was largely written by me on my own time before the company was founded (check the timeline). It was agreed that I'd own and control the open source project too.

That was a very explicit agreement between myself,

. I would not have allowed the company to sponsor the project and be involved in it if it had not been clear that it was my project and that the company would not own or control the upstream version of it.

The company was supposed to be earning money from making proprietary forks of the OS for companies, doing contract work for them and providing support. It was not ever supposed to monetize the open source project directly but the company totally failed at getting anything done.

Worth noting that the project remained under permissive open source licensing for a long time and I eventually decided to try GPLv3 as a way to prop up the company's failing attempting to monetize it and make it sustainable. Later, I decided to use non-commercial licensing.

The licensing decisions were entirely up to me since it was my code and the company / James Donaldson didn't have input into that. You can see from the legal threats / ultimatums that I published from them that they gradually started trying to rewrite history and build up lies.
