What happens on the lower system level with hardware and drivers with Google phone? (in the proprietary shadows of it) I really feel sick when I see Google logo anywhere.

It's not possible to replace the bootloader splash screen since the bootloader (source.codeaurora.org/quic/la/abl/ti) is verified from the root of trust. This applies to pretty much any secure device, not just phones. Same thing as complaining about a Dell logo when booting up an XPS laptop.
Similarly, the only way to change things like the verified boot status display (source.codeaurora.org/quic/la/abl/ti) would be to have custom hardware where the keys burned into the fuses for verifying the firmware would be controlled by GrapheneOS. Always going to be the same for any device.

But gratitude for your efforts to bring more freedom to the people. I see Google, Amazon, Fb and similar as biggest threat to our civilizations. Didn't want to sound discouraging. We all work with some constraints.
