Follow grapheneos.org/build with an emulator build target and use the standard emulator. If you want to do work, you could get it working in a different VM than the standard QEMU/KVM but I don't see why.

I doubt whatever device you're talking about supports installing another OS and it's highly unlikely it meets the hardware requirements. Please read grapheneos.org/#device-support.

See grapheneos.org/#device-support for the supported devices, hardware requirements and hardware recommendations. If you want to run it on another, you'll need to pick one meeting the requirements and do the porting/maintenance work.

grapheneos.org/#device-support lists officially supported devices and the requirements. You can see it isn't listed. It's also important to note that GrapheneOS uses a locked bootloader and full verified boot. It doesn't support devices without support for doing that with another OS.

As I mentioned earlier, if you want other devices supported, you're going to need to step up to do the work. It's not a one time thing but rather a massive amount of ongoing work to keep them properly tested / maintained. Need to port lots of device-specific work and fix issues.

The project is only going to officially support devices with very strong security properties as that section mentions. No point of asking if a few arbitrary devices out of many thousands of them will be officially supported. You can quite safely assume the answer will just be no.
