What the actual fuck? How is this not a violation of my privacy expectations, and how is this justified?

There's obviously sandboxing... but a subset of the system libraries are usable by apps so they have SELinux labels that are accessible to apps. How would apps use libraries that are part of the public API if they couldn't read them? It's also all part of a verified system image.
So it's not like these are a bunch of arbitrary, varying libraries with different versions that are identifying in some way. The device variant and patch level are known to the app, and if they really wanted they could buy one of those or download factory images to get libraries.
