Developers don't add their applications to F-Droid's official repository. The maintainers of the repository add applications. You could work on that if you wanted. The fact that they're addressing an unmaintained fork of an early incomplete revision also needs to be addressed.
F-Droid is free to redistribute both github.com/GrapheneOS/Aud and github.com/GrapheneOS/Pdf as they're both MIT licensed. For PdfViewer, I would prefer it if the official build was reproduced and distributed with the official signature. For Auditor, that's mandatory without forking.

The abandoned fork they're redistributing was based on an early revision before the first stable release. It doesn't have a completed security model and the F-Droid description misrepresents the origin and status of the code. I raised this and other issues, and it was ignored.
