Should probably not expect much from a project which supported rapists and sociopaths in their community for years. That's such a nice example of gaslighting from a moderator on their mailing list. I quite clearly explained what was wrong and now they pretend it never happened.

I understand you're angry; but if you want people to listen, going in on the "you supported rapists" seems to be purposely inflammatory to upset those who had to deal with this, now multiple years ago. I guarantee this type of response will not help anyone actually hear you.

The person in question was becoming involved in the GrapheneOS project at the time and that was a narrowly avoided disaster due to the timing of them finally being pushed out. It's supposed to be inflammatory. That person has been nearly my entire experience with the Tor Project.

My other experience with the Tor Project is dealing with members of it supporting James Donaldson, even today, which shows a consistent pattern of behavior from the Tor Project. Supporting this post unfairly misrepresenting/dismissing my work fits into that same overall pattern.

Alright man, I have no desire to argue. I don't know who that is, and after 7 years I can confidently say it never came up. If you want people to listen, I'm not the first person to suggest being less aggressive. If you don't want people to listen, continue as you are.

Often "be less aggressive" is synonymous with "look the other way". It's frustrating, and it's the last thing victims want to hear, and Daniel is himself a victim of toxic behavior and theft. Don't take it personal, but please take it seriously.

I do take it seriously, however there also needs to be an understanding that when he *today* calls out the Tor project for supporting rapists, he's telling those who fought so hard against this culture (some of which are also victims) that their efforts were not meaningful.

This conversation has gotten incredibly messy, in part due to conflating so many different issues. If this is about the way this technical discussion played out, you know how I feel there. If you know there are still sexual predators in the project, this needs to be resolved.
