Lesson of the day, do not flash back to Pie on a pixel 3a that is on q

FWIW, I flashed back to Pie from Q on a Pixel 3a XL and didn't have any issues. Not the same device, of course.

No real difference between the bonito / sargo firmware, boot or vendor images and system image differences are minimal.

Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are similar, but they use different touchscreen drivers so they load a different module. They ship both anyway.

Well installing XL firmware on a normal one, results in a funky touchscreen experience lol

It might just be from not having the resources for the appropriate size. I'm not entirely sure. I assume that a generic system image ships every size of resource to deal with that. It will also mess up the brightness curve and the initial power usage estimation, etc. too.

I guess it might also impact color correction for the camera flash:
- persist.camera.front.flashColor=0xffebcc
+ persist.camera.front.flashColor=0xffe1c1
I wonder why these are slightly different. I don't have a Pixel 3a XL to compare the cover colors.
