What I don't get is how they even do it without getting bombarded by so many chargebacks and one-star seller reviews they lose money and go under.

I mean what's the cheapest place to incorporate, and how many people do you need to scam to break even if you have to restart automatically every 30 days

Which is to say, I'm guessing the business entities do go under all the time by design, but the humans behind them are insulated.

Well they should get hit with 100% chargebacks plus fees... Are there ppl too lazy to "return" (Amazon doesn't even require shipping back) & report?

Amazon ends up banning you if you return too many things, regardless of the merit of returning those items. I know people scared of returning items due to hearing about this happening to people, so instead they accept getting scammed with counterfeits, etc.
We recently got counterfeit 9V batteries lasting 3 months in a smoke alarm instead of a couple years. There was once a counterfeit dog brush of all things, since it was fairly high end, and the actual company was very interested and seemed aware Amazon was screwing them over.

Have also gotten Sennheiser earpad replacements not matching the description / images / reviews whatsoever that I had to return. Ended up just paying Sennheiser a something ridiculous like $35 for them instead of $5-10.
