It's still by far the least secure mainstream browser. It has no sandbox on mobile and the sandbox elsewhere isn't meaningful, especially on Linux. It has the least progress on exploit mitigations, privilege escalation and bug detection / remediation via static/dynamic analysis.

It's only more secure than non-mainstream browsers like Epiphany and other WebKitGTK browsers that are even more of a security disaster and lack security teams to even begin making real progress.
