IOW security is going to shit because they'll be using a baseband that can compromise the SoC rather than an external one.

The baseband being on the same die as the rest of the SoC doesn't determine whether or not it's isolated. The status quo on most mobile devices is really that SoC components are often well isolated but off-die components like Wi-Fi have full DMA without a proper IOMMU setup.
Well it determines whether you can observe whether it's isolated without decapping.
