I'm sorry for believing that open source developers should be compensated for their work and believing in running the project in a sustainable way where multiple companies and organizations fund developers working on it full-time. I'm not really sure why that's controversial.

The work being done on GrapheneOS is funded. It's released as permissively licensed open source software because there are individuals, companies and organizations making that possible. It's not a hobby project. It's my full-time job and will be a full-time job for other people.

I'm not sure why people expect Open Source to mean nobody gets paid ever. This is how we end up with a ton of vulnerabilities in important libraries, if nobody is paid to look at stuff the only times they do is during an emergency that impacts them.
