fThe ASUS live update tool that delivered malware to customers last year is installed at the factory on ASUS laptops and other devices. When users enable it, the tool contacts the ASUS update server periodically to see if any firmware or other software updates are available.

I absolutely did not leave of my own accord, and I am still actively developing and maintaining the original open source project: github.com/GrapheneOS. James explicitly agreed that we would build a business around the project, while I would retain control and ownership of it.

He changed his mind about that and broke our agreements, since all he cared about was earning money and he felt that I was becoming a barrier to that happening instead of being a useful tool to make that happen. He switched from taking advantage of me to trying to seize control.

I didn't give him control of the project despite the empty legal threats and ultimatums so he seized control of the infrastructure and pushed me out of the company. He stole the donations sent to the open source project and started using my code against the terms of the license.

I still own 50% of Copperhead Limited today. I get nothing from it, because James simply uses it as a vehicle to funnel illegitimately obtained money to himself from scamming businesses and customers. I never got my fair cut of the revenue even when it was operating legitimately.
