It's disgusting to try to use the fact that I spent years volunteering on open source projects before working on Android hardening against me by trying to portray my harmless departure from those projects as screwing them over or falsely claiming that I was kicked out of them.

At this point, I'm never shocked at how James chooses to behave and the underhanded tactics he uses including stealing donations and refusing to return them to the donors, stealing accounts via abuse of customer support systems and the endless pathological lying and manipulation.

I'm far from the first person he's screwed over and robbed. He's an unethical and greedy individual to the core, only concerned with looking out for himself. Copperhead failed as a business largely due to his inability to see past the short term or care about more than money.

The business only continued to exist based on the relationship with the open source Android hardening project, and it had been explicitly agreed from the start that the project was independent and owned / controlled by me. The company was supposed to provide support for my work.

It turned from being a company supposedly aimed at supporting an open source project by building a business around it to demanding control and ownership over the project, seizing the infrastructure and throwing away years of hard work that had been put into it by destroying it.

I learned difficult and important lessons from this experience including trusting my impression of people as sociopaths from the start and taking painful steps to get away from them as soon as possible. Spending years in an awful situation trying to work it out made it way worse.

I should have left as soon as it wasn't working out, less than a year into it, and continued the project on my own which is effectively what happened anyway since I received no real support and far more money was stolen by the company than was ever actually provided to me...

I'm also going to avoid being involved in projects with people with incredibly sexist, racist or other disturbing views. I was repeatedly bothered by the incredibly misogynistic nonsense James would say to me on a regular basis, as anyone who knows him can attest to being true.

Trying to brush aside those disgusting views and work with people despite them doesn't work. They are garbage people in general. It ends up impacting things like hiring and results in a lack of ability to trust them and consistent worry that they'll do something awful to someone.

That was a shared account representing the open source hardening project. The CopperheadSec account has always been solely James while CopperheadOS was shared until he had his access taken away from making inaccurate posts. Both accounts are now solely controlled by him though.

The CopperheadOS account was renamed due to the open source project no longer being associated with Copperhead. James hijacked control over the account by misleading Twitter about what happened and the division between the corporate account and independent open source project.
