I've rolled back the published sample releases for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL to PQ1A.181205.006.2018.12.21.18 for now. I'm working on narrowing down an issue which came up in the January update. Somehow, newly flashed installs fail verification at boot.

Updated sample releases of the new hardened Android OS project are available for the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL via seamlessupdate.app. This is still a very early preview and isn't yet intended for much more than testing. It should be more stable though.

The issue didn't occur after updating my test device but apparently the update caused a similar issue elsewhere. It's a good example of why these are marked as early sample releases without even an OS name yet. These are strictly meant for testing and will definitely have issues.
