I've finished the time consuming process of setting up new infrastructure for Android 9 and running full Compatibility Test Suite testing of Android Open Source Project builds for various devices. There are a huge number of tests and it takes time to investigate the flaky ones.

It will be awesome when hardware-based memory tagging is available in ARMv8.5 not just as a mitigation but because it will also help purge latent memory corruption bugs. It can catch most non-malicious cases of memory corruption like ASan, but deployed in the production releases.
