The worst constitutional outrage of all is for MPs to refuse a dissolution, keeping in place a government they have calculatedly undermined, for the sole purpose of undoing a referendum result they had promised to uphold. Do they take us all for idiots?
Maybe it would save time if John Bercow issued a standing order to the effect that anything designed to keep us in the EU is fine, but anything designed to deliver on the referendum is unconstitutional.

If it's MPs' duty to rubber-stamp a PM's request for a dissolution, then why have the FTPA? Wasn't the whole point of it to remove the PM's unilateral right to dissolve?
Why would anyone not allow a minority government to dissolve in order that the pie pole may elect one with the numbers to govern? Perhaps someone scared the public will vote the ‘wrong way’?
