It's really amazing that humanity is still here, after so many close calls with nuclear weapons/possible nuclear war during the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, etc.

Doesn’t America intentionally run propaganda like this though, to affect current events. For example to send a bluff to China, “we might do it, don’t test us.”

From what I’ve seen in the archives, it was President Eisenhower who decided NOT to initiate a nuclear conflict. Does your documentation show a positive choice on the president’s part to use (as opposed to predelegation) nuclear weapons?
