Anything in the Ai field requires at least a Bachelors whereas drivers & mechanics do not. Protecting a common job amongst high school educated men is good. A lot of white men in middle/rural America report low levels of optimism. It would be best to not make it worse for them.

Yet that's exactly what ocurred with cars. Folks needed more education to make them. The solution is to help people get new skills, we have a very underperforming high school education in the U.S. that should be fixed. The solution isn't to stop progress.
