It was the first apology of its kind.
But because of Archie - and so many other members of the Stolen Generations - it will not be the last.
Vale Archie.

On behalf of the Victorian Government, I said sorry.
For the forced removal from his family, Country, Community, culture and language.
For depriving Archie of his birthright as a proud Aboriginal man.
And for the trauma and hurt that his family still carries with them today.

Archie Roach never stopped fighting for the Stolen Generations.
But he passed without ever receiving an apology for the pain and trauma inflicted by the State.
Tonight, at the request of Archie's family, I delivered that apology.

Constable Matthew Arnold and Constable Rachel McCrow had their lives tragically cut short at work.
They served to keep their community safe.
And they did so with honour.
I extend the sympathies of all Victorians to their families, and to all Queenslanders.

As we bring back the SEC we'll be building more solar, wind and batteries - and they'll be government owned.
Meaning all Victorians get the benefit.

It'll slash power prices, create jobs and reduce emissions.
But that's just the beginning.

Freddie started working at Myer as a wheeler at a young age, moving clothes around the store.
He eventually was put in charge of displaying merchandise in the windows of Bourke street.
Inspired by the displays in New York Department stores - Freddie had big plans.

So we're going to open up AAMI Park and put the game on the big screens.
And it'll be completely free.
