Just to warn you, this ad is difficult to watch. Not because it's graphic. But because it isn't. It's all about what you don't see – the things that must go on in that household behind closed doors.pic.twitter.com/PmUBmVS0KG

That's why we have to pick up on those little clues – and call them out. This advertisement will be on your screens from tonight. Family violence is our number one law and order issue. Its solutions are complex – but almost all of them start with one simple thing: respect.

The ad implies that because the bloke speaks like an arsehole, he's violent behind closed doors. Must be a vast amount of violence in that case, based on how many arseholes there are. Women included. #ldpau

No I’m good 😊 thank you though! It just seems to always be only men who cause abuse being pushed in these campaigns when the stats show that both women and men are perpetrators of domestic violence. S’pose in the nature of equality, we should be showing both sides of the story.

I'm sure there are some statistics you can bring to this argument. Would you like to put them up?

We’ll talk about domestic violence against men just as soon as we prevent thousands of women being injured or killed by their loved ones. Cool with that? Great.

And so when do we talk about domestic violence against men? How do you measure that? I agree that everyone is terrible to everyone, but these things affect everyone and should be visible from everyone’s point of view.

Not true. So far this year 15, that's FIFTEEN, women have been killed by their partner or ex partner. Nothing to do with Marxism but everything to do with power.

We know that women are killed by their men. Andrews has no compassion for family violence in which kids suffer whether it committed by a male or female. He is a Marxist to the core and a corrupt pollie, like the rest of them

Oh so you know women are killed by their partner and the best you can come up with is the usual waffle about Marxism. I'm sure the women who died weren't concerned with Marxism as they died.

Having grown up and a surviour of abuse in the home, committed by a female btw. There needs to be more education and programs other than men being perpetrated as the only ones that are violent
