Kids are frail and clueless and we have all been there, that's why we protect them. All NPCs are clueless, that's a limitation we have, but if their frailty or potential isn't simulated they serve to break the immersion more than to enrich the world.

You don’t need to kill virtual children to have immersion, there is Jack who’s a child and you get the immersion of an actual child but you don’t fucking kill him lol.
