Here's a little deconstruction of the shader:

And before you say: TypeScript? Yikes!
I know, I feel you hehehe.
It's a first for me. I wanted to try and see what all the fuzz is about, so... be kind!

Hacked some first person controls just by pasting an example from the stellar three-mesh-bvh.
#threejs is an amazing ecosystem for quickly putting stuff together.

Here's a link to a super secret alpha version.

"The workflow"™ has been released.
Just deployed a major patch with a fresh new UI, blazingly fast generation and tons of QOL fixes.

It's no so much about the data, but the ability to sculpt the smooth mesh just by placing blocks as I'm used to.
This is mostly inspired by 's recent work.

Some lighting and rougher normals

This are just binary (on/off) voxels. It's data, at least.
The smoothing happens all in the mesher.

It also exports this cool sketch -> concept mashups.

Not to put ideas in your head, but...
You could join the discord, ask for Jordan (the CEO) and tell him you need all this shaders in your life to feel whole again after witnessing such creative potential.
(and that Dani definitely hasn't sent you) hehehe.

This has nothing to do with the brush shaders, but I felt it needed to be said hehehe.
I wanna see more AI art apps with a focus in improving existing creative workflows (like vizcom).
And less trying to sell a conceptdesign-o-matic to naive managers.

I see the diffusion craze as when going from tape machines to pro tools.
It made it more accesible. You can do more with less. Even in your own house with almost no money.
But didn't instantly make you a music producer.
It's just another tool. You still gotta put in the reps.

vizcom uses diffusion algorithms (so called A.I.) to enhance the creative workflow from sketch to concept.
but I love that you actually need to be a good artist to get good results out of it.
I mean... compare my random sketch output with sketches drawn by an actual artist.

The fine folks at gave me carte blanche to post some of my off-beat ideas.
Most of this prolly won't make it to production, but...
I think my crowd will appreciate them hehehe.
The first one is attaching the canvas to a motor.
(with an optional hardware pedal)

And there's ton more coming down the pipeline. I'm just getting started with this puppy.
The brushes are all SDFs, btw... They get instantly rasterized to pixels, but all the smoothing/antialiasing comes just from the distance. No multisampling.

If you were wondering what all those crazy pixel drawing prototypes with #webgl from a while back were all about.... well... now you know hehehe

We're excited to soon release a major upgrade to our drawing app's brush engine! We've switched to webGL for faster rendering and a more seamless drawing experience.
The brush now feels more natural, responsive, and there's no more lag or delays on the iPad.

Learned about an upscaling one called RealESRGAN.
Here's a few more artsy images generated from my lousy drawings and upscaled with it:

Here's another masterpiece hehehe.

Learning some python.
I want to start using this cool AI stuff.
So far I managed to build me a 30line http service that ouputs images from text.
Next I want to try uploading an image and using the Img2Img pipeline.

Lolz. Or maybe try some other day.
Less than an hour in... The servers already crapped out from all the f2p players and nobody can log in.
I can't even say I'm surpised. CIG never disappoints.

BTW the game is now free to play until the end of the month. Free cool ship rentals also every day.
The framerate still shit but everything looks incredible.
