A boomer just told me (Gen X) that I should invest in real estate. HAHAHAHA

This is because wealth and success isn't connected to education and hard work, it's all about circumstances of birth (nepotism, genetics, etc), connections and luck. I don't want to live in this world because it's so unfair, one-sided and impossible to succeed.
-
Don't forget that nowadays, college isn't connected to education and hard work anymore either. It's a pipeline to a degree all but devoid of real knowledge.

Watch boomers accuse them of being ‘soft’ despite them being the ones who pulled the ladder up behind them

Not all boomers says the short lady in the corner.

These are all excellent points, but did you need to tell me that there are 40-year-old millennials? That just hurts man, that just hurts.
-
40 year old Millennial here!
Teacher of Gen Z students who use phrases like, “Back in the 1900s” when referring to the dawn of the internet age. And parent to Gen Alpha kids who side-eye me in disbelief when I mention things like phones not always having video capabilities!

Boomers were the Locust Generation. They consumed or destroyed nearly all our resources, leaving only disasters in their wake. Gen X will survive on the scraps, but there will be little if anything left for those coming up behind us unless they are inheriting wealth.
-
Many of the Boomers had children and houses though, so there are a f*ck ton of Millennials who stand to inherit something from all the homes Boomers bought.
