So the “you’re rooting for the virus” sort of idiots who come out of the woodwork when I criticize the promotion of unproven #Hydroxychloroquine for #COVID19 also exist for economics. Lovely.

I think the concern is that you don’t seem particularly concerned about any of the other multiple unproven meds being used Experimentally to treat coronavirus. Wonder why that would be...

I'm not a scientist or a physician and I understand his concern. First, those other meds, I presume, are being used in trials, but more importantly, they aren't being promoted as a cure for this by the loudest, most far-reaching voice on the planet. Do better.
-
Simple 3-step plan for people who believe taking anti-malarial meds experimentally for coronavirus is stupid/ dangerous: 1. If you get Corona refuse the medicine. 2. If your family gets Corona, refuse the medicine. 3. Stop harassing patients who choose to take the medicine.

None of them are being incessantly promoted as the cure (hint: it isn't) by POTUS. BIG difference. YUGE.
-
I guess I missed where Trump promoted it as a "cure." Do you happen to have a reference?

There is no such thing as “used experimentally to treat.” Many drugs are undergoing (hopefully well controlled) clinical trials to determine whether they are safe and effective. Until that’s established, they aren’t treating anything.

Huh, why would he be most concerned about the one being mindlessly promoted by the president and hoarded so it can't be used by people who are known to need it for other reasons? WHY, OH WHY??? F U, dan.

Probably because (a) they are getting a fraction of the publicity and (b) they do not have the range of dangerous side-effects.

I and many others have reported plenty of people recommending garlic, vit C, elderberries, magic water and prayer instead of proper healthcare and handwashing. Which unproven treatments are you worried about, specifically?

There is no evidence HCQ/azithro works. Evidence is critical now. Wasting time on false hopes can be dangerous.
-
Right... Because if we don't know something to be true, that means it's false. Like in 1890, there was "no evidence" that viruses caused human illness. Viruses haven't been around for millions of years; they were invented by the Devil sometime around 1900?
