So, 2 things: 1. Working for a company is a CHOICE. Terms of that relationship are made clear from the start. 2. The gig economy provides flexibility that we otherwise wouldn’t have. If you prevent companies from using independent contractors, you’re ENDING millions of jobs.

Owning labor means nothing. Organizing labor means everything.

Especially for lazy people. I've never encountered a union when I was labor or when I was management that did not protect the slackers & hold back the industrious.

Ask Uber drivers how they feel about Uber. You'd be surprised by the answer. You picked a pretty bad example for comparison.

Uber denied they have employees, yet demands their “drivers” comply to company policy. That convoluted, plausible deniability is on par with Republicans.

They are private contractors that get to to choose when they work, how long they work and where they work. In exchange for that added freedom they give up certain securities that an employee gets. It's not really that convoluted.
