Abolishing the electoral college means that politicians will only campaign in (and listen to) urban areas. That is not a representative democracy. We live in a republic, which means 51% of the population doesn’t get to boss around the other 49%.

False. Instead of only caring about 3-4 swing states, if every ballot box tally was truly created equal, candidates would be heading to every corner of the country to garner support. You’re from Texas bro, this would help your constituents.

You understand the current system let's 46% boss around 48%. honestly the only good explanation for what you're trying to say is that it basically means that urban people are less important than rural people... I won't speculate why that's your thought process.
