When you’re trying to cross a border, and there’s a 20-plus foot steel slated barrier in your way, it seriously inhibits your ability to cross. A sensor tells a Border Agent, miles away, that they have to find you now. I wonder which one works better. #WednesdayWisdom

Why not have both! if you jump the fence, it alerts the border patrol with a sensor!

You’re right, that’s what they do in prisons.

Of course, they work best when combined.

And how do you handle the issue of eminent domain? Should the Government take ranchers lands away?

I believe the ranchers are want something to keep the intruders off their land.

the sensor is obscenely more cost-effective, wicket and easier to implement, and doesn't require government to seize private property of American citizens. was this a trick question?

Holding government hostage for a wall promise in the campaign is stupid. Dems are willing to fund common sense border security while not dealing with a hostage taker. #wednesdaywisdom

I like the idea of having a barrier there to make it more difficult. Frees up more personnel for things like going after Visa overstays

This is a hyper-important point that almost everyone misses. People treat the 50,000 apprehensions per month like it’s “ being handled.” BUT that represents theft of resources that could be deployed to instead reduce drug trafficking, counterterrorism and legal commerce/trade.
