The "Racism is in everything. White supremacy is the foundation of all of the systems in the country…" needed to sell this hot take looks very straw man to me. The question is: hanging in the corn field of whom.

This is a humorous take. You actually state, in attempting to mock the piece, the thrust of the piece better even than the Times. BTW 1/2

This, my good man, is actually true. "How so? At first Kruse seems to imply that it's the placement of the expressways that has caused the congestion, with the path of roadways used to separate black and white neighborhoods" 2/2

https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2015/10/the-history-class-dilemma/411601/ … I was taught about the "triangle of trade" Molasses, rum, and slaves, like 3 commodities. It was taught as an economic concept. Very shy, but raised my hand to ask "how can that be" you are talking about people with sugar and rum?" I was told to be quiet.

I am a child of immigrants. We had no history with US, no consciousness of race here. I believe it allowed me to see things that white people here for generations could not see. It was so obvious to me. Maybe that's what's driving this backlash, not sure.

Child of immigrants here too. It's easy for us to step back & see how silly this looks. White people who hate themselves so much & black people who blame others for their own mistakes, & Latinos that call us "race traitors" when we point out the flaws in their bigotry.
