Someone please define "adverse conduct"? I believe Amber Guyger committed murder and NOT manslaughter.

I'm not saying what she did isn't murder, but I wonder if the prosecutors charged her with Manslaughter because it'll be way easier to prove than Murder? Our system is broken, but I'd rather her get 15 years for something you can more easily prove than walk on a murder charge
-
Pretty sure they could put forth charges for both
-
I think premeditation is needed for murder charges. If she was drunk and stupid then it is manslaughter. If she went there with the intention to scare, harm, or kill him then it is legally murder. And in Texas First Degree Murder can come with the death penalty.

There is no way that I will ever believe she walked every sign that she was in the wrong apartment and then killed a man because she didn't mean to do it. He had the apartment directly above hers. Were there complaints? Did they know each other? We have none of those answers.
-
Think she was drunk & did think she was on her floor & just too drunk to see the stuff to realize she was on the wrong floor. I think she tried to open her door, the keys didn't work, she banged on the door, & this stranger opens it. She freaks. She got sober, covered it up.
-
That won't wash. 1-Your story is better than hers. 2-she has told 2 separate stories. 3-You're saying she was so blind drunk she couldn't tell where the hell she was, but not so drunk that she couldn't shoot straight. her story changed. Was he at the door or across the room?
-
2) is consistent with a cover up due to drinking & trying to save her job & not go to prison. 3) wasn't it a close shooting? If it is close & she isn't blind drunk, due to muscle memory she could do it. This is my theory based on what I've read. Could be wrong.

What took so long? Also, how does a person murder someone & then gets out on bail w/i 1hr & remains free today? People accused of far less serious crimes are held w/o bail every day. Is it white privilege or police officer privilege or both?
-
Union it no union, she murdered someone. In what world us that ok? And she gets bail? She’s out on bail w/i 1hr yet several Black folks spent 2 nights in jail last week after being arrested for blocking traffic while protesting Jean’s murder. It’s all about privilege.

About damn time. Thank you for doing the right thing
@DallasPD. I hope that you’re doing everything in your power to comfort and support the family of Botham Jean. And get your lawyers ready. The wrongful death suit will be coming. And you’re probably going to lose. -
What upset me is that Dallas PD stated that the Lady shot him, because he didn’t comply with her orders. ???? Inside his own apartment

I know, right?
