Truth is @James__Harkin got the basics right in terms of #Douma's "propaganda" value.

After almost 6 months of investigations, i can prove without a doubt that the #Douma Hospital scene was staged. No fatalities occurred in the hospital.
All the #WH, activists and people i spoke to are either in #Idlib or #EuphratesShield areas.
Only one person was in #Damascus.
But never approached the block of flats and curtailed access immediately after #Douma takeover.
I can tell you that Jaysh al-Islam ruled Douma with an iron fist. They coopted activists, doctors and humanitarians with fear and intimidation.
In fact, one of the 3 or 4 people filming the scene was Dr Abu Bakr Hanan, a "brute & shifty" doctor affiliated with Jaysh Al-Islam. The narrative was that "there weren't enough drs" but here is one filming & not taking part of the rescue efforts. Will keep the rest for later.
I agree re 1) acknowledging the attack happened and it’s nature, 2) maximising the effect. The issues were more around what I’ll politley call “contextualisation”, eg implying because JaI were shits, the people of Douma were legit targets/ WH conspiracy theory amplification
The other thing not clear to me, outside of the staging/moving bodies, how much of it was a contrived effort to mislead v confusion

my point of view is that @James__Harkin & @Dalatrm should be thanked for giving it their best shot, & @OPCW_ST @OPCW & Co. are blocked ( by everybody) if they talk about metal fuel weapons, other toxic generators
'Rebel/Activist' staging: Release some improvised chemical weapon to create the scenario - fool civilians too. Doesn't take a genius to know who would benefit and who wouldn't. Certainly not the Syrian govt.
Riam, interviewing "witnesses" with minders/translators/ Mukhabarat/ SAA around and citing anonymous source make Harkins investigations/conclusions untrustworthy. You know more than anyone else what it's like in Assad controlled areas.
