The opportunities of Brexit. Like EU citizens losing full rights? My kids having their mother called a queue jumper, wrecker of income levels, drain on the NHS and far worse for more than three years? Those kinds of opportunities? You certainly all embraced those.

Londoners, if you’re struggling today, remember this: Tomorrow you’ll wake up in a European city, where hundreds of languages are spoken and every race, religion, class, country and culture are represented. London will always be European, and London will always be open.

The EC/EU was set up to end perpetual war in Western Europe. This led to the most successful free trade alliance in the history of the world. We forget the lessons of history at our peril. I’m a lifelong europhile and the thought of tomorrow really saddens me.

Well, I don't know what to do with myself tomorrow. Sitting in and thinking of my friends and family in the UK and how our lives will change for the worse. None of my German friends really understand how upset I am by this.

Seb Dance sums up how the majority of decent Brits feel in Britain “This is about identity, this is about how we feel as a nation... There are a lot of people in our country who feel European first and for them this is a very raw feeling."

Superb article! I had the (mis)fortune to experience this first hand working for someone with the Eton Oxbridge heritage.

On let's remember that the Holocaust did not appear out of thin air. It was built on hatred of "the other," politically weaponized by those seeking ever more power. All politicians today say , but some are walking down that same path.

It is now confirmed that UK will not transpose the EU Directive. So sad after having fought an up-hill battle for years …!
