Unlikely to be murdered by anyone that actully wants justice, tbh. They'll be trying to silence him, that's the only way, but this is big...he'll be watched closely and protected. A lot more justice to be had with people alive than dead. Death is easy.

I know my feelings are wrong, but the fear he (hopefully) feels makes me very happy! Monsters like him deserve to be very afraid for a long time. He is getting a small taste of how his victims suffered.
