The last time I went to Kos (in 2015) just before we flew out, my ex went through my phone and had discovered I planned to leave him due to the constant misery. We still went away and if it weren’t for my mum it would’ve been the worst week of my life.
TW: Suicide Prior to leaving for that holiday, I’d tried to unlife - maybe 3 weeks before? After that I’d come to the conclusion that it was my ex causing the strife. I continued to stay with him until 2019, but he forever sullied that memory of Kos and it’s wonderful people.
He spent the whole week switching between belittling me and pretending nothing had happened. He did this for the better part of the year all while continuing to ignore that he was the problem, ignoring my depression, ignoring my desperation.
Today I touched down in England after replacing those memories with new ones. Despite the world being a scary place right now, I spent the week with a man that truly loves and supports me. He was trying to fix something on it and took his chances, I’d spoken to my mum and friend about leaving and if I could stay with them etc. He also logged into my Facebook after leaving him to snoop!

I have just seen this and I think it was you strength and the rest of the family. I remember you had amazing fun with Jack Morris and a laugh with Paul. This time was so much better and I am so pleased you found your soulmate
