The whole concept of using SoT to tell a direct narrative experience is both fantastic and a really interesting direction. While initially it might seem like it runs a little at odds with the rest of the experience I think it's what the game is kind of calling for.

It simultaneously covers both new players who want to have a strong initial experience, and older players who want something fresh and new to enjoy.

My little boy has never seen the PoTC films, and has demanded to watch at least one this week so he'll know who the characters are before the the update comes out. So that was a win. :)
