When pubs reopen again on April 12 please consider visiting a local boozer and supporting them rather than going to a Wetherspoons. They don’t need your money nor do they deserve it. Local pubs meanwhile have really struggled. Just a thought!

Why dont they deserve it? People who work there don't deserve to have jobs?

Their CEO is a horrid upper class toff who laid off staff to bring them back with zero hour contracts, is doing nothing to aid the pandemic and underpays the staff he does have

No he didn't. Not sure where you are getting that from? Funny how the only people who seem to have a problem with how he treats his staff are people who don't work there......

What about ex staff members? And where do you get the info that it ISN'T like that? I mean, if you want to be unpatriotic and not support the backbone of the country then be my guest, go to a non-struggling franchise. I'll be sticking with my local.

From people who work there.Every time this comes up about how terribly they treat their staff eventually someone who actually works there chips in and they always say they have no problem with how they have been treated. And if no one goes there those people will lose their jobs.

But the people losing their jobs and businesses in local pubs, they aren't important right?
