16 year olds should be able to vote. In the UK, when you turn 16 you can: - Get married with parental consent - Buy a lotto ticket - Have sex - Join the army with parental consent - Work full time But you can't vote? That seems ridiculous to me

They do, it isn't like when the older generation were kids. Chris's 15 year old daughter has a more mature head on her than most boomers, as do her friends. I'd rather they had to option to at least choose to have a vote than none at all.
We were plunged into Brexit by adults who didn't have a clue about politics. Same adults that were suprised the Tory government they voted for weren't feeding starving and impoverished kids (including those 16 year olds)

I work on an IT help desk my mid 20’s co workers still living at home with mummy voted for the party promising the faster internet for their online games in the last election.

But the starving children is... somehow better than faster Internet for every household so that people aren't left out? Something that would've been really useful in a pandemic while we're all working from home?
