16 year olds should be able to vote. In the UK, when you turn 16 you can: - Get married with parental consent - Buy a lotto ticket - Have sex - Join the army with parental consent - Work full time But you can't vote? That seems ridiculous to me

I was working since I was 15, and won scholarships from Highschool to go to University, but it doesn't negate the idea that kids dont know what theyre talking about. I'm not even British, but a Commonwealth country. I debated a couple officials on the radio about this topic
Again: 16 year olds can legally start a family in the UK - they should be able to vote. What honestly changes in the two years between 16 and 18?
