I already tried to make a habit of bringing a pack of pads to every LARP in case of a friend who menstruates needing one unexpectedly. (Mostly, I have to admit, because such incidents have happened when I was also unprepared to help, except to drive and buy some.)

But a recent TikTok video has broadened my mind to the idea of an emergency kit simply brought with me at all times, of a couple of pads, pain killers, and chocolate. All stored in my handbag for use at any time.

I saw similar outrage over a video of a woman breastfeeding. You see more breast in the average trending dances but from the comments you'd think someone murdered a kitten. Most comments were "Gross kids are on this app."

I think they should be more upset that the young teen feels there's a need to teach others how to use them. Why are there people out there that don't know that? Both of my girls have been aware of these products, and how to use them, since they were at least 10.

Some kids are brought up in the system, some kids don’t go to school due to reasons at home or they’ve become homeless at a young age. Some schools in some countries barely broach the subject at all!

I don't think people realize how someone could learn something from that video. There is worse things on Tik Tok than an educational video that can help. B-but think of the children right? Pads are not inappropriate...pic.twitter.com/ii8TxG7V2H
