Reading about people’s #endometriosis, the pain they feel, their infertility, the heavy periods
It’s horrifying that it takes so long to diagnose. Between 5 and 15 years. Ridiculous. Why aren’t people being taken seriously about this? Period pains THAT painful aren’t normal

ahh i used to be on tranexamic acid for the heaviness but I admit I never tried mefenamic - since tranexamic did nothing I never bothered.

Tranexamic acid made me violently sick. Mefenamic acid, I was in pain, but could still function like someone suffering 'normal' pains. It's worth a try!

Zapain just added to my nausea. But the mefenamic acid helped. Notably, as did going veggie.
Mollycoddled when you're fighting pain that has medical evidence of being as painful/debilitating as heart attack pain.... Amazing -
Oh gosh Zapain makes me feel wobbly? Like shaky? But it works so I take it anyway, then use mef acid specifically for bad cramps. We can't keep doing this, can we?

I read about a girl who was admitted with sepsis after a ruptured appendix. Asked why she didn't get help sooner "I've had cramps worse than that"
