I've now had a few days to mull over this and chill out and work out if I'm over-reacting or not. And I feel I'm not. If I am presenting something - DO NOT INTERUPT AND TALK OVER ME.

Had to present something this week - was co-presenting with someone (in fact, multiple someone's) and rather than typing into the chat (which is what they've done for everyone else's presentations) I ended up with people talking over the top of me.

In fact, not just talking over the top of me...but correcting me and saying I'd missed information - INFORMATION I HADN'T YET GOT TO BECAUSE THEY INTERRUPTED.

Not going to lie, I'm *BEYOND* cranky about this - I thought I'd calm down more, I thought I'd get over it. But I haven't. And I'm not.

This was 100% sexist bullshit. Every other presenter? Male. Me? Not male. I have no issues with people chiming in with information that I've missed or information that I've got wrong, but derailing the conversation? Or questioning my knowledge on something WHILE I'm presenting?

news flash for ya. I know this may be difficult to understand. I’ll keep it simple. Girlgerms’ experience is common towards women, and only women, in the tech industry. Likely in others as well, but we’re in tech so I’ll stick to that.
