All you American folk that are like “Only 32 degrees? It’s like 50 here stop complaining about heatwaves” are forgetting that you lot have air conditioning in most of your homes and shops and WE DO NOT 
Also you’re used to that climate, we aren’t. Heatwaves are subjective!

It didn't use to get this hot here. Homes are designed to keep heat in during cold winters with double glazing, insulation etc - not let heat out in hot summers! So once a house gets hot & humid that heat stays in, building up more all day
It was 40 degrees in the conservatory with all the doors and windows open yesterday, I have to work in there! 
We aren’t meant for weather that spicy. It’s nice if you’re out in that weather with a nice cocktail but inside? Heeeeell no.

Also a lot of our houses have double glazing because we’re used to cold winters but mild summers! Like damn I’m just gonna have to start day drinking
