I think you should probably take stock of the fact that saying that invalidates a huge number of disabled peoples' real life experiences and understand that it might be considered deeply offensive to just blanket suggest that these things would be 'cured'.

You're not the only one to use to use the phrase 'invalidate their experience'. It's meaningless. Does going into remission 'invalidate the experience' of having had cancer? Then why is having a disability cured any different?

No. Telling them that they no longer have to worry about their cancer and shouldn't talk about it does. Especially when most oncologists would agree that remission isn't a guaranteed cure. It can come back. Bad analogy was bad. Do Better.
