Hi, so: - Purposefully sabotaging your partner’s hobbies and then demeaning them for their valid feelings of upset - Controlling their finances and opening their mail - Destroying their property - Ignoring their boundaries Are all non-typical examples of emotional abuse.
More serious examples include: - GASLIGHTING - Hurting your feelings and then telling you that it was just a joke - Belittling/patronising you repeatedly - Getting your password and logging into your socials - Blaming you for their behaviour - Trivialising
Emotional abuse IS domestic violence. DV is: - Physical - Verbal - Emotional - Economic - Religious - Reproductive - Sexual It doesn’t always involve hitting and you can get help for what has been or is being done to you.

I’m saying this because… I’m really lucky that I’m in isolation with such a kind and decent person. But that might not have been the case and isn’t the case for a lot of people right now. My heart goes out to them. I wish there was more that could be done.
