Speaking as someone from the North West, we don’t want it. We just want cheaper fares so we can get to the South affordably. This is still going to be hugely expensive in fares! 
They’ve got to think of the safety of the workers.

To be honest, they shouldn't even be getting as far as thinking how to handle workers, they should take one look at the price, realise the UK is about to go into hock with the billions is spending already, and either suspend it indefinitely, or can it outright.
