(2/2) I see a lot of salty comments about how expensive everything is and how "Those darn Nooks" charge hundreds of thousands of Bells for things. Debts seem rife for island life. 
I would like to play AC at some point but it kinda seems like a grind for grinds sake?! 
I mean it seems the entire point of the game is to earn Bells and make your island look cool. Is there a story progression to it? Are there quests? Is there any actual point to it other than to grind out bells to build your island?
Nope! There are like, little quests? Like building the shops and museums, but other than that island life is just a relaxing way to get away from things and fish, design clothes and houses.
