The ambulance turned up and the paramedics checked his eyes, mouth and pulse. They thanked me for calling before loading him onto the ambulance with a suspected overdose.

[Thread - I might’ve just saved someone’s life] I just noticed a homeless man slumped down on the floor in a doorway in Leicester. Everyone was walking past him and so did I, telling myself I didn’t have the time to check on him and that he was probably just asleep. (1)

I almost walked by a homeless man because of my dangerous assumptions. My selfishness, if I’m being honest. I was temporarily very selfish and in so much of a rush to get home safe that I didn’t think of the safety of someone else due to it causing an inconvenience.
